In the thirty-five years of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1556 AD), it was converted into stone-built city walls and towers. The stone used was red sandstone unique to Xiangxi, including the streets of the ancient city and other ancient buildings. We are now seeing this beautiful Stone. On the other side of the city wall, the bare rock beside the Minjiang River is red sandstone.
