Sandstone is formed by accumulation of rocks in the source area through weathering, erosion and transportation. The rock is composed of debris and interstitials. Detrital common minerals: quartz, feldspar, muscovite, calcite, clay minerals, dolomite, olivine, chlorite, etc. Interstitial materials include two components, cement and debris. Common cements include siliceous and carbonate cements; heterogeneous components mainly refer to clay or silty particles with finer particles deposited at the same time as the debris.
