To ensure the enjoyment of all parties, the Devil Dogs administrators have set up a list of rules to which all are required to adhere. These are enforced by all administrators. All appropriate action will be followed against those who disobey said rules, up to and including kicking or banning. If you feel you have been wrongly punished or accused, please register to and post in the forums under the Bans section (if banned), or the Suggestions/Complaints section (for all other comments). All Devil Dog clan members wear [DD] tag. which preface their in-game name. They deserve respect and obedience on the server and forums. The server runs both stock and custom maps. To ensure downloading of the latest maps from the server, enter "cl_allowdownload 1" in your console. Our server allows "fast downloading", which allows faster download rates than typical servers. If you do not wish to download the map from the server, please use the links below to search for the map. The server is a place for fun and families. We would appreciate it if you kept offensive language to a minimum. We will not tolerate any disrespect to Devil Dog members (those with the [DD] tags), nor will racism of any kind be allowed. Respect is earned, not given. Show respect to others, and respect will be reciprocated. Below is a list of our major server rules. The administrators reserve the right to modify or add to said rules without notice.
- Friendly Fire/Team Killing
- Friendly Fire is on. Check your fire. After five unforgiven team kills (or "TKs"), you will be banned from the server for ten minutes. If you return after said ban time, and continue to intentionally team kill and/or team wound, we will permanently ban you from our server. We understand that there are bad days/nights where unintentional team killing or team wounding occurs. To avoid instances of wrongful temporary banning, please "say" the command "!forgivetk" to nullify the punishment against the user who last team killed you.
- Team Wounding
- Team wounding, like team killing, is frowned upon at the Devil Dogs server. People make mistakes, and we understand this. Intentional team wounding will be met with harsh punishment.
- Racism/Nationalism
- No offensive comments about a race or nationality of any member is appreciated or allowed. The beauty of online gaming is the ability to play with people from all over the world. Do not ruin the fun of others with your unkind comments.
- Derogatory Comments about others
- Trash talk is acceptable amongst friends. Keep your comments civil. Unkind, hateful comments against another player is not allowed. We at the Devil Dogs want all players to enjoy their time on the server.
- Hacking/Cheating
- Use of hacks and/or cheating programs/utilities are not allowed on this server. The administrators keep a watchful eye on the players on the server, and will usually be able to spot those who are dishonorable about such matters. Valve Anti-Cheat is running at all times on the server. As it is the responsibility of the administrators to mete out punishment for cheaters and/or hackers, we do not appreciate accusations placed on others without proof. We welcome you to privately message us on the forums with your screenshots and demos, along with any information you can give about a possible hacker and/or cheater. Please keep your comments civil.
- Advertising
- No advertising of any kind allowed in the server. This includes (but is not limited to) websites, chat rooms, clans, and servers.
- Exploits
- The use of in-game and/or map exploits are not allowed. It is up to the administrator to define what is considered an exploit.
- Swearing/Cussing/Profanity
- Some children play this game. We do not allow excessive use of "bad words". Yes, we understand that this game is rated "Mature", but some parents have the security that their children will not grow up to be axe murderers by playing this game, but don't want children to pick up foul mouths from the game. Regardless of your opinion on this rule, we expect you to follow it.
- Private/Player names
- We enjoy regular visitors to the server. As such, we request you choose a unique name for yourself, so we can recognize you. The names "Private" and "Player" are not allowed on the server. These are not unique names.
- Respect
- We expect you to respect all players, especially the administrators. If you disagree with the server rules, please do not choose to complain about it in-game. That is not an appropriate place to express yourself, and it only serves to annoy the players, and more importantly, the administrator(s).
- Mature Behavior
- Do not be a nuisance in the game (otherwise called acting like a "llama"). Do not block access ways and/or doorways. Do not spam voice communication or premade voice chat. Do not display pornographic in-game sprays. Act as an adult, or expect to be treated as a spoiled child in need of a good hard spanking.
